Chaldeans

SourceThe Chaldeans were a Semitic tribe of unknown origin that settled in southern Mesopotamia in the early part of the first millennium before the Common Era. Its language is assumed to relate to the Syrians, but settled farther south than the Syrians, who had settled in upper Mesopotamia and Syria. Notwithstanding the Chaldeans "ordinary" or Turanian plunge were imposed at the other two elements of the population were:

Chaldean Roman authors called the astrologers and mathematicians of Babylon. In modern times, Catholics are called Chaldeans of Mesopotamia.
